The hard cover of the Hydro reaches far down in the neck and forehead area. For this reason the helmet encloses the head quite completely and offers a good fit. The size can be individually adjusted via an adjustment wheel. A flat cushioning material has been attached to the inside, which is pleasantly soft and ensures good wearing comfort. A small point of criticism is also with this model that the safety strap around the chin is not padded, which can sometimes be unpleasant when adjusted tightly. The Hydro helmet also protects the ear area very well, fortunately the ear holes are so small that no disturbing wind noise is produced. In warm temperatures and for better hearing, the ear pads can be removed, if it gets windy, the ear pads can be closed. But since the pads are only inserted and not fixed with Velcro or snap fasteners, there is a risk of losing them.

surf-conclusion: GUNSAILS offers for a more than fair price a rock solid and comfortable helmet which is fully up to date in terms of safety and wearing comfort and which absorbs only little water.
