At the age of 9, I was infected with the “windsurf” virus. Ever since, my brother Niclas and I have spent the vast majority of our weekends and holidays on the water windsurfing, mostly in Brouwersdam, Netherlands. We grew up near Düsseldorf, Germany, which is apart from the river Rhine quite distant to the sea. We did not have a driver’s license either, so our parents more or less voluntarily had to take us to the Netherlands. In 2018, I debuted at the PWA and came in 2nd at the U20 Freestyle division. After finishing high school a year later I decided to move to Kiel, Northern Germany, in 2019. Kiel offers superb windsurfing conditions on a regular basis and as a result, I was able to score well on the German Freestyle Battle-Tour in 2019, taking the 2nd place...
