The sport of windsurfing has always fascinated me at a young age. My past years were marked by travels across the world, I also surfed on some spots and always felt the inner urge to improve myself and the windsurfing sport. Combined with a passion for new ideas, generally the topic of product development and product design has spurred me on once again to break completely new ground with WE ONE.

As a successful entrepreneur of different companies I always found my balance in sports. Windsurfing has been my passion since 1991. As a tinkerer and skilled craftsman I started early to repair my boards myself. Soon all kinds of boards from my area found their way to me for repair. This gave me an insight into the construction methods and material structures of various board manufacturers and brands. With the ambition to perfect the board construction, I started to build custom boards myself in 2008. With a lot of material tests I quickly succeeded in building light and stable constructions. Quickly my custom boards found great interest in the local surf scene and enjoyed a strong demand. All the more I am happy to be able to implement my years of experience in custom board building, my entrepreneurship, my ideas and my passion in the new brand WE ONE.

Ben van der Steen windsurfing for over 30 years and for over 25 years of competition windsurfing , he has won world titles , euro titles and countless competitions and races and continues to do so. Ben has over 25 years for windsurfing product development under his belt and has been involved in every aspect of the sport and its products . He has been around the globe windsurfing , testing , developing and racing. After so many years Ben got an opportunity to do his own boards and create his own vision on windsurf racing and that’s were the WE ONE racing department was born.

The biggest points i want to achieve is to make windsurfing Fun and Easy and of course with some good speed .
