NICK SPANGENBERG'S BEST YEAR OF HIS LIFE (SO FAR)

Nick Spangenberg is living the dream as professional windsurfer. This year he was travelling all around the globe, surfing the best waves and taking part at the unified IWT/PWA World tour. In his video he shows the highlights of his year and gives some insights behind the scenes:

My 2023 season kicked off in February with sun, sand, wind and a photoshoot in Egypt, swiftly transitioning to the breathtaking landscapes of Chile for the first World Cup event.
A joyous trip followed in France, where I shared precious moments with family and my better half. The adventure continued with explorations in Sylt and Fehmarn, adding depth to the experience. As summer unfolded, my days became a blend of home comforts and thrilling windsurfing days. Gran Canaria beckoned for the next World Cup, infusing the season with a taste of international competition.
A unique road trip to Norway, accompanied by the delightful company of my girlfriend, leading to unforgettable times in Denmark. The journey seamlessly progressed to Sylt for the third World Cup, where winds and waves danced in harmony.
November marked the realization of a long-standing dream on the mesmerizing shores of Maui. Participating in the fourth World Cup and joining the ranks of the Aloha Classics was a defining moment in my windsurfing career. As the season drew to a close, the familiar shores of Cape Town welcomed me for the third consecutive year, providing the backdrop for cherished memories and a reflection on personal growth.

In expressing gratitude, my heartfelt thanks extend to sponsors whose support fueled this journey. Immense appreciation is reserved for friends and family, whose unwavering encouragement shaped each chapter of this remarkable season. Special thanks to my girlfriend for sharing in the adventures and making each moment even more memorable. Here's to the winds that carried me through, the waves that challenged me, and the people who stood by me – a season to remember, anchored in gratitude.

See you on the water in 2024...✌️
Nick
